·   Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) - A national network of organizations and individuals dedicated to promote mother and child health through protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding.

·    Diabetes Clinic Online - An online consultation site for diabetic patients and their doctors. Contains useful information on diabetes for patients.

·   Doctor NDTV - Information on a variety of health issues from medical experts plus consultation on specific questions.

·    Eli Lilly India - Provides health care information on diseases, medicines and treatment both for patients and doctors. Family Doctors India.com - Offers online consultancy to patients in all sorts of medical problems and also maintains a medical directory of medical consultants and organisations.

·   Health and Development Initiative - Provides tuberculosis related news, research data from the country, and publishes a drug bulletin.

·    HIV and AIDS in India - On the spread and current state of the disease in the country. Includes detailed accounts of the worst affected states and communities.

·   Indegene - Provides speciality news, journal scann, clinical rounds, discussion forums, case opinions from a panel of specialists and conference updates.

·   Indian Council of Medical Research - Apex body for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research.

·   Indian Medlars Centre - Catering to the needs of the Indian medical community from Indian as well as international resources. Has provided facility to get translated versions of contents.

·   Indmedica - A website for doctors and medical stafff, with job listings, educational pages, and speciality related links.

·   Informed Healthcare - Offers content for continuing medical education and tools for communication for doctors.

·   Lepra India - Dedicated to improve public health status of the community through implementing control programmes for leprosy and other allied diseases.

·   MedCLIK - Comprehensive reference guide for Indiian drugs. Provides search for doctors, medical text books, and alumni groups.

·   Medical Council of India - A statutory body regulating medical colleges, affiliation, new colleges, and doctors’ registration.

·   Medicomm - Information on diseases, conditions annd treatment both for patients and medical professionals.

·   Medindia - Provides information on health and meddicine. Includes doctors, hospitals, chemists, pharmaceuticals and medical institutions.

·   National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) - Nodal organisation for formulation of policy and implementation of programs for prevention and control of HIV/AIDS.

·  National Family Health Survey - State-wise and national information on fertility, maternal and child health and family planning.

·  National Institute of Immunology - An autonomous institution supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

·   National Medical Library - A reference library in the field of medical and allied sciences open for consultation for medical, paramedical and allied professionals.

·   National Polio Surveillance Project - Contains polio surveillance data for India updated weekly, with information and documents on the Polio Eradication Programme.

·   Our Jeet - Joint Effort to Eradicate Tuberculosis - an initiative to eradicate TB in India by Novartis.

·   Skincare India - Information on skin care, conditions, diseases, skin health, and other scientific information.

·    TBIndia - Information on the diagnosis, treatmennt, control, and prevention of Tuberculosis both for the patients as well as doctors.

 

Page Coordinator: Mrs. Naina Pandita, Senior Technical Director and Project Coordinator of the ICMR-NIC Centre for Biomedical Information, National Informatics Centre, New Delhi, India. This Centre, is recognized as the 17th International Medlars Centre catering to the information needs of the Indian medical community. She has organized several training programmes for doctors in India and participated in several national and international conferences.
